Browy changelog: notable changes by version

For full commit history see the GitHub releases.

First public release.

  • Chrome side-panel chat with history, model picker, and reasoning-effort selector.
  • DevTools “Browy” panel with slash commands (/page, /net, /console, /perf, /eval).
  • Native messaging host wrapping the GitHub Copilot CLI. Bring your own Copilot subscription.
  • 30+ browser tools by default: snapshot, click, type, navigate, tabs, evaluate_js, network/console logs, sandboxed disk, persistent memory, await_user.
  • Optional host tools (run_script, bash, read_file, write_file, grep, glob, web_fetch), off by default, enable per-tool under Settings → Tools. run_script joined them in 0.1.10.
  • Multi-browser support: Chrome, Edge, Brave (and other Chromium builds).
  • Stop ends a turn right away, and the chat picks up where it left off. Each window’s Browy works on that window’s tabs, and a message sent from a second window waits its turn (0.1.11).
  • One-line PowerShell installer for Windows.
